Walk the Labyrinth this Sunday in celebration of Easter Sun 30th March 6.30pm

Labyrinths are ancient tools for worship appropriated into the Christian tradition. In the middle ages, when pilgrimage to Jerusalem became dangerous, labyrinths became an expression of worship in the spirit of pilgrimage.

Pilgrimages are important, as they unsettle you out of the everyday. Take you beyond the here and now, and address the very meaning of existence beyond your own thinking and feeling.

So this Easter, why not recommit to journeying with Christ in life, through a labyrinth devotional prayer. Where you can join with other Moot pilgrims this Sunday 30th March 6.30pm

Moot’s First ROL Service on Holy Saturday

Pleased to say that the Moot recommitment service at St Paul’s Cathedral to Moot’s Rhythm of Life went well. This year we included the blessing of an ikon, painted by Michael L Radcliffe. We gave out postcards of the ikon and some small booklets of various prayers to use with the Moot prayer beads given out last year.

Thanks to all who planned, contributed and attended this years service… Til next year!

=SPICO=

[UPDATE: THE DATE OF THIS PRIVATE VIEW HAS CHANGED. IT IS NOW ON FRIDAY 21ST MARCH – APOLOGIES!]

Some of you may remember Nico Yates – he is one of the artists who exhibited in Beyond The Wilderness.

Off the back of our show, he has managed to get himself a solo show at The Fleapit, a bar/gallery venue in Old Street. He will be exhibiting under his tag name, “=SPICO=”.

The Private View for his show is on Monday night and he has asked me to let you all know about it. I think it would be great for us to show support for him as a connection that we have established from Beyond The Wilderness, and also because his work is actually very good…!

Link to The Fleapit is here.

Nico’s Flickr Page is here.

The show is on from 6pm FRIDAY 21ST MARCH until TUESDAY 15TH APRIL, Private View Friday the 21st March 6pm – 11pm.

Opportunity: Godly Play Storytelling training

In Moot, we have been utilising Godly play approaches to Alt worship, and had established quite an interesting monthly gathering.

For those that are interested, we have organised a training afternoon (free for Mooters) but open to others on Godly Play story telling. If interested – click here
