This learning event offers another opportunity to explore models of missional communities and forms of Christian spirituality and community, contemplative approaches to prayer and action. It is aimed at those who are Moot participants, companions and supporters, diocesan missioners or those who are interested in a New Monastic mission model of Ecclesial community or Church.
The day will explore:
– the implications of our post-secular context, regarding the challenge of being human, justice, spirituality and relevant forms of Christian community.
– the ancient tradition of the religious life as exampled through Western Christianity as Nuns, Monks and Friars.
– the place, purpose and charism of New Monasticism in the UK.
The day will be led by Ian Mobsby, an Ordained Anglican Missioner and founding member of the Moot Community (A New Monastic Community of the Church of England based at the Guild Church of St Mary Aldermary in the City of London, UK).
This will be free for participants of the Moot Community with discounted places available for Moot supporters and companions – see booking site for details.
