The Moot Community, seeks to explore and learn from the interface of arts and spirituality, as an authentic expression of human transcendence and meaning making in our complex culture and times.   Artists and Mystics through the centuries have played vital roles in the human community in bringing renewal and understanding and human growth through the senses, emotions and thinking.  

Now more than ever, there is a need for the promotion and postive experience of the arts and spirituality in our increasingly consumerist and conceptualised culture, which with its tendency to dehumanise, needs to be balanced against that which affirms our common humanity.

Moot therefore aims to promote events for the local community, that enables transcendence and the reframing of modern life through the arts, as a progressive journey and process of human becoming through the spiritual.

Moot respects the differing perspectives of the major world faiths, and the spiritual resources drawn from the disciplines of the humanities, philosophy and psychology.

Moot, draws widely as a community on the Christian spiritual tradition, seeking inspiration from the ancient reframed into the future.
