Community Council (GCC)

This is the main decision making body of the Moot Community and Guild Church of St Mary Aldermary.  Following the benedictine tradition, any member of the electoral roll can attend, contribute to the agenda, and contribute to the dialogue. In most situations we seek to make decisions by consensus.  However on occasions when there is not consensus, then elected members only can vote.  This meeting occurs once a month, usually on a Sunday before a short compline service in the evening.  Just after Easter every year, there is an Annual Guild Church Council Meeting where new officers are voted for.  Anyone on the electoral roll can stand for positions.
