The financial challenge for Moot

This is a short message to ask you to consider possibly supporting us in our ongoing work of Moot by financially supporting our work regarding new forms of worship, mission and community in Westminster and beyond.

Moot has to raise finance for all its activities and does not receive grants to enable this, other than start up monies for its missioner - for which the community needs to fund raise.

The situation with MOOT is pregnant with possibilities in its dream of realising itself as a spiritual and creative cafe church and mission. And the possibilies and potential of Moot is a tremendously exciting prospect.

Moot feels very much in it’s infancy. A new dream of what Church may be; it’s not grand and it’s not total. It’s a gesture. A local, community based attempt at some new ideas. But we hope enough that it may have something to offer into the history of the Church; to the evolving story of faith. We want to take the resources of the past and reframe them creatively into positive action. What we have named an 'ancient:future' pursuit. We want to take the insights we have gained, we want to draw of the strength of new and burgeoning relations, and begin to dwell in our dreams.

The Moot Community continue to commit our time, energy and passion into this project, a whole new era of possibilities can develop. In particular our Priest-Missioner in Ian Mobsby has a key role to support this developing community to do new things. We are keen to stress that we all have a part to play in this, we all have some responsibilities. The Moot community are focused on realising these dreams with Ian playing a key role in the community as Priest-Missioner, but unfortunately we need financial resources to enable us to work together effectively and well with our worship, mission and community activities.

Moot the community has the passion and the vision to see this through. Our whole sense of gift and calling are based in this. We have devoted years into this dream and we have seen some remarkable growth and development.
