New Monastics & The Emerging Church
As some know, we in Moot are waiting for an opportunity to set up an intentional community with our church plant proposal. We dream of this happening soon, and in central London. This is a key dream for a form of church that really does community and mission alongside worship. We hope to learn from groups such as Shane Claiborne’s community and COTA in Seattle, about how to make this work, as we appreciate it is not going to be easy. COTA now have a number of community houses, one Gareth Powell is staying in on placement there as part of his pioneer ordained ministerial training.
